PAMELA SANGHA MA, RCC
Registered Clinical Counsellor
Pamela Sangha is a Clinical Counsellor with extensive experience supporting youth, families, and adults through compassionate, trauma-informed care. She holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Minor in Social Justice foundations that inform her person-centred, culturally responsive approach to her counselling practice.
Her clinical focus includes anxiety and depression, trauma and grief, substance use, family and relationship challenges, ADHD, chronic pain, neurodiversity, and parenting support, as well as significant life transitions such as schooling and career shifts. She has specialized training in refugee and trauma care, and her practice is explicitly trauma- and system-informed, centering context, dignity, and choice while strengthening mental health and coping.
Pamela has worked extensively with children and youth—in collaboration with CYMH, the City of Surrey, and substance-use programs and is known for building strong rapport with teens and effectively supporting ADHD-related challenges. She also works with chronic pain and injury-related concerns, attending to the intersections of pain, trauma, mood, and daily functioning.
She draws from evidence-informed modalities including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, emotion-focused approaches, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing. Pamela integrates these with collaborative goal-setting and targeted assessment tools to tailor care, track progress, and ensure therapy stays aligned with each client’s goals. She offers counselling in English and Punjabi and practices from an anti-oppressive, strengths-based lens.
Pamela views her work as a privilege and is dedicated to helping children, teens, adults, and families strengthen mental health and coping skills, deepen emotional processing and communication skills, and improve everyday functioning. Known for a calm, practical presence and a culturally responsive, trauma- and system-informed approach, she partners closely with clients to foster meaningful, sustainable change. Pamela is currently welcoming new clients.
