Katharine is an experienced and empathetic therapist who cares deeply about her work and relationships with her clients. She believes that the foundation of therapeutic work is the capacity of therapist and client to create and maintain a safe place in which they can explore their life and any challenges that are present. Katharine supports clients with various backgrounds who experience a varying range of issues. She comes along clients to work collaboratively to address their theraputic needs and goals in a supportive and non-judgmental manner. Katharine provides counselling to children, adolescents, adults, families and couples and is able to connect on deep levels of emotion and processing. She is passionate about helping clients understand how their nervous system and neurobiology contribute to their emotional, mental, and physical functioning. Katharine obtained her Masters degree in Counselling Psychology and is a registered member with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She has worked with numerous community organizations and believes in ongoing education and training to look for ways to improve the help she provides to her clients. She brings a wealth of experience in cognitive behavioural, emotion-focused, couples, and trauma therapy.
